well if you're looking for a realistic negative point that noone can argue about, its the non-existent trade system that will force ppl into channel spamming/district hopping/time wasting to buy/sell their stuff. and its a big let down from Anet: they had several month to think and implement something at least on par with others mmorpgs yet they chose not.

oh gawd...

one expansion every 6 months as stated...all content geared towards level 20 characters...do the maths...it comes down to a LOT of content of level 20 characters...

...plus...I'm not too fussed about what content comes out tbh. For me at least, the pve blows...hard. I'm just here for the pvp...so unless they release some new uber-unbalancing content...I'm not so fussed

The trading and item system is a wierd one. Again the items are pretty much balanced, since the game is based on skills the weapons for the most part take a back seat, so for me at least trading and auctioning won't matter too much. Add that to the inclusion of NPC crafters...and I can see why this side of the game might be neglected. Shame really...collecting and selling things off can be a lot of fun.

Negative thing? Community.

I have had the WORST experiance the bwe so far.

Person 1: we go this way
Person 2: no we go this way
Person 3: I [email protected]& sId3 qU3$t
Me: Lets just follow the path down this mountain
Person 1: No, I am the leader, I want to go SOUTH the way we just came
Person 2: Nah, lets go back to town
Person 3: Screw you guys, I'm going to the sidequest
Person 1: There is no sidequest
Person 3: ur a fag, there is two!
Me: Lets just calm down and follow the quest
Person 2: Shut up, I'm a higher level, c the drag0n sW0rD? Shut it!
Person 4: I just reported Person 3 and person 2 for not using the game right
Person 3: Ur such a fag, go ---- urself
Person 4: If you say so
( Person 4 goes away)
Person 1: Alright, lets go with Lews, and go down the mountain
Person 2: Yeah, lets just forget it and go down
Person 3: NO, u guys are ---s, im goIn on Sid3quEsT

In the end person 3 saved us, because he was so far away he didn't get killed, and could res us and we won. But then he wanted us to pay him for being so good....

Wow. I admit, I had some bad experience but that's REALLY bad. The person #3 is a real donkey's backside.

Well, speaking of high points-low points, I'd say the low points of GW are quickly improved. Thanks, ArenaNet.

Yes, that has been my worst.

Otherwise I have had a good time. I helped a friend out getting past Kryta, and while never played with contacted another friend several times throughout the day.

I have found that it is best to play with your friends, or people you already have had a good experiance with.

Lews...you could have just went and did the side quest :P

Searching for a team is a lot of hassle, especially since I don't really think much of the in-game communication right now. But for any game that REQUIRES team play, community will always be a problem. If you think Guild Wars is bad...take a look at Counterstrike, or Enemy Territory, it might be a bit of a shock to people from the roleplaying field to see such abrasive persons...but in a regular game of CS...I'd say theres much worse to be had.

Oh yes, while we are fighting ( would be a spoiler if I told whom ) one of the hardest battles I've fought in, he is running around trying to find it. He never did.

So far ive heard about a crappy tradiin system, PVE blowing hard, difficulty running quests, below average community, on top of my own complaints. Is GW really worth it? lol

No it is not. We all are here, talking about the game, who have preordered the game, a lot of people on these forums and in the game. We do it because we have nothing better to do, it is a bad game.

What do you think? I like it, even with those bad experiances.
The 'traddin' system is fine, I think.

Well IMO PvE really sucks t3h dirt O.o; But you know, I'm a tough customer...

Is it really worth it?...well I'd say so, you get a lot for 30 bucks. Keeps you entertained longer than most games even if you don't go into it hardcore.

..Well, the main thing that attracted me is the fairly fast paced combat. Also, the joy of havin privacy when I go off and farm, and its fun salvaging items, kinda like in Asherons Call, you always feel like your accomplishing something. However, the negatives are increasing quickly, im here for the PvE with a bit of PVP, not PVP with a bit of PvE, and for the first 20 levels they really try to please the PvE players, but throws it in their face near the end. What makes this game so special? The missions, the story, the diablo-like play. The story and diablo-like play gets thrown out the window and the missions are very simplified in PVP, no goals, same thing over and over. If I wanted PVP, I have loads of options that are just as good as, or better then this.

The things that make GW different are implented in PvE, but their focus is on PVP. They screwed up.

didnt you read Gailes post that there is a ton of stuff (fresh content) AFTER you reach level 20?

the expansions are the size of the original game and most of that will be content we can pve on AT LEVEL 20

who says the PVE got shorted?

What I don't understand is how they're going to be able to avoid adjusting the level cap. I mean, C'mon. It's going to get a little old doing missions of the same difficulty over and over again no matter how much new content they add for level 20's.

I do, your relying on what every MMO claims and never does, what makes GW any different? Their chapters wont be as big as the original game, and as of right now, PvE did get shorted, how much PvE content is at 20? Not much. This game isent finished, simple as that, another unfinished game.

They want to attract PvE players, and they do, (Excellently I might add, its very unique) then they throw crap in their face. Their premise is to promote exicting PvP, but they offer a repetive run-of-the-mill deal.

you are treating the beta content as the finished product and that there is no more to do than what you have seen so far.

unless Gaile is lying there is much more than what has been seen so far

i hope she is accurate as i want to see all the new content when it goes retail.

the proof will be visable soon after release

they will do it by providing challenges and monsters for level 20

why does it have to be higher levels for both you and the enemies to not be boring

how many games have you played at level 5 against a level 7 monster and thought it was a fantastic victory?

why is a victory over a level 170 monster any more challenging when you are level 150?

why do you have to have a higher level number to be challenging?

unless you want to boast i am higher than you are or force people to be marked as noobs because they havent grinded up to the top level yet?

Im not sayin Gaile is lying, but its likely over-exxagrating a bit. Think about it, none of the content has been tested, (The supposedly "were hiding it from you till release" content). Even so, its gonna be the same more-or-less, run missions over and over and over. They need to throw in unrelated-content things like a crafting system, a market, dungeons. Add more variety to the current content, dont give us more of the same thing.
